The Relais Plein Air is perfectly located to start your journey in the Gatineau Park! Depending on your choice of destination, the trails allow you to explore the entire Park, whether by foot or by bike!
Pink Lake
Pink Lake is the number one destination for most people for one simple reason: the view is magnificent.
To get there, two options are available to you: the shortest route or the longest route.
Option 1 (4.4 km)
From the Relais, take Route 27 towards the Park (opposite direction of Asticou). Then, you will reach an intersection with Route 5. Turn right and then take the first left exit. This will bring you to the Promenades de la Gatineau, where vehicle access is limited (see online for the schedule). Once on this road, simply ride up to Pink Lake.
Recommended bike: Electric
Option 2 (5.21 km)
This route, which is longer than Option 1, allows you to avoid the Promenades de la Gatineau by taking you through wooded and rocky terrain.
From the Relais, take Route 27 towards the Park (opposite direction of Asticou). Then, you will reach an intersection with Route 5. Turn right and instead of turning left as before, continue a little further. You will then reach an intersection between Route 5 and Route 25. Take Route 25 to the left and keep going. This will lead you onto Route 15. Turn left again at the next intersection and turn onto Route 35 when the sign indicates. Continue a little further and you will arrive at Pink Lake.
Recommended bike: Mountain or Fatbike
Mackenzie-King Estate
Would you like to see a historic site? What better than visiting the former estate of Canada's 10th Prime Minister?
Option 1 (7.73 km)
From Pink Lake, take the Promenades de la Gatineau and continue climbing towards the Mackenzie-King Estate.
When the road splits in two, stay left until the next intersection.
Once there, turn right and you will arrive at the Mackenzie-King Estate.
Recommended bike: Electric
Option 2 (8.63 km)
From Pink Lake, take Route 35 and then turn left at the first intersection to get onto Route 15.
Continue on Route 15 to the Mackenzie-King Estate.
Recommended bike: Mountain
Champlain Lookout - round trip (32 km)
From the Relais, take Route 27 towards the Park (opposite direction of Asticou). Then, you will reach an intersection with Route 5. Turn right and then take the first left exit. This will bring you to the Promenades de la Gatineau, where vehicle access is limited (see online for the schedule). Heading towards Pink Lake, continue on this road and stay left the whole way. You will join the Promenades Champlain, and by continuing on this road, you will arrive at the Champlain Lookout.

The park loop (35 km)
Go to the Champlain Lookout, but change the return route to go around the park.
From the Champlain Lookout, return via the Promenades du lac Fortune until the road becomes the Promenades de la Gatineau again, and stay on this road to Pink Lake, passing the points of interest along the way. Return by the same route as the way there.
